This angel is an original, one of a kind, art doll.
Inspiration came from the Hoffman Challenge fabric used for her underskirt. I
collected fabrics for months. When she - the 17th peace angel - was ready to
become, I discovered, to my delight, there were 17 fabrics to use. I wasn't
overly surprised - the angels often do that kind of thing for me.
Dancer of Colors - sends her prayers of peace rising on spirals of multi hued ribbons.
Her head is sculpted from polymer clay and Apoxie Sculpt. Her armature or internal
structure, is steel brake line. She is 22 inches tall, with a diameter of 13 inches
and weighs 1.75 pounds.
The 17th was selected for traveling with the Hoffman Challenge exhibt and will be
touring the U.S. and Canada until October 2006

The Hoffman Challenge curator tried and tried, but the 17th was just too big to fit
conveniently into the travel trunks. So, she did not get to continue this journey
after all. Then, barely 2 months old, while returning home from her first outing,
she was accidentally destroyed.
