This angel is an original, one of a kind, art doll.
Her head and hands are sculpted from polymer clay, covered with three layers
of scrim, a very open weave fabric, then coated with a hardener. When I found
this wing material, the last yard on the bolt, I immediately imagined an angel
that resembled a dragonfly. Her coat is extra fabric from a long ago sweater
project. Her jacket button is an earring from my grandmother's jewelry box and
it opens to reveal her dress.
Her armature, or internal structure, is wood and wire. She is 21 inches tall,
19 inches wide, 9 inches deep and weighs 2 pounds.
