I have a friend with the uncanny ability to find, among thousands of
bolts of fabric, the perfect ones for my projects - like this one, the
colors of deep canyon shade and mountain shadowed desert. And she also
finds Amethyst beads for accent. I love to take this woman shopping with
me - and then we go for ice cream!
Her faux stained glass wings glow softly in the light and cast fabulous
shadows. She balances on whirling skirts and the tip of one wing. She
dances with hope and prayers in her heart of changing war to peace,
of animosity shifting to tolerance,
of negative to positive transitions in all things.
Her face is sculpted from polymer clay. Her armature is steel brake line.
She is 18 inches tall, 12 inches wide and weighs 1.5 pounds.
